All the work relating to First to Vth class students as Vth class standard Exam is conducted and certificates are issued . All the work relating to primary teachers (Including Transfers, (JBT,Head Trs,C.Head Trs and Block Edu.officers) appointments and other various works relating to teacher's as G.P.F maintenance, Pension, medical re-imbursement of their medical Bill, A.C.P cases and other works (1) S.S.A and (2) M.D.M detail included

Projects Being undertaken

  • MID DAY MEAL SCHEME

Mid-day Meal scheme was implemented in District Ludhiana w.e.f. Oct.2001. At the time of beginning,100gm wheat per day/per student was used to be distributed among the students of primary schools. This scheme is running in 588 -Govt schools,422-,Zila parishad schools,9- Aided schools,24- EGSs centers and 78-AIE.center of distt Ludhiana in the year 2007-08. During the year 2007-08 the detail of distribution of food grains and conversion charges is as under:-

  • No. of beneficiaries under this scheme is 1,17,781
  • Detail of food grains and conversion charges given above are up to 29.2.2008
  • Food grains from F.C.I godowns is carried through PUNSUP to the concerned schools and conversion charges are distributed through B.P.E.O.'s to the schools
  • Account of received and consumed food grains and conversion charges is maintained at school level .
  • Information of the whole district is collected through B.P.E.O.'s and supplied to state headquarter.
  • Fire-extinguishers have been supplied to 250 schools in the district in Dec.2007.
  • Gas bhathies have been supplied to 250 schools in the district in Jan.2008
  • Funds Rs. 18,95,000/- have been released for arranging gas connections to 250 schools of this district .
  • Funds Rs. 1,37,40,000 /- have been released to 229 schools of this district for construction. of kitchen sheds cum store @ Rs 60,000/-per kitchen shed
  • Funds Rs. 1,84,500/-have been received for purchasing weighing machines to 410 schools @ Rs. 450/-each weighing machine
  • Height records are engraved on the walls of school verandahs
  • List regarding demand of 1836 storage bins is provided for 918 schools of the district ,to store wheat , rice and other material provided under the mid-day meal scheme
  • Mother -self-help-groups/,village education development committees-urban education development committees are constituted in each school of the district
  • Medical officers of govt. Hospitals/ dispensaries are usually taking the sample of cooked food provided to children of school under scheme.
  • Health check-up of the students is done from time to time by the doctors of govt . hospitals/dispensaries
  • No complaint/ discrepancy reports have received in this district up to now
  • Mid-day-meal scheme is being implemented for all the students studying in classes 6th,7th,8th.in all the Middle/High/Sr.Sec.schools of district w.e.f 1-4-08.No. of beneficiaries is 84524.

Sarva Shiksha Abhiyan, Ludhiana

Sarva Shiksha Abhiyan is a comprehensive and integrated flagship programme of government of India ,launched in 2000-01, to attain universal elementary education in the country in a mission mode. It is a response to the demand for quality basic education all over the country. The Sarva Shiksha Abhiyan is to provide useful and relevant elementary education for all children in the 6 to 14 age group by 2010. The SSA programmme is also an attempt to provide an opportunity for improving human capabilities to all children, through provision of community-owned quality education in a mission mode

An effort at effectively involving the Panchayati Raj Institutions, School Management Committees, Village and Urban Slum Level Education Committees, Parents’ Teachers’ Associations, Mother Teacher Associations, Tribal Autonomous Councils and other grass root level structures in the management of elementary schools.

An expression of political will for universal elementary education across the country. A partnership between the Central, State and the local government. An opportunity for States to develop their own vision of elementary education
